What Does Botox Do?

Botox reduces or completely stops the function of the relevant organs by blocking nerve conduction. It is applied to improve aesthetic and functional conditions. It is generally preferred for correcting facial wrinkles, teeth clenching, sweating and migraine treatments.

How is Botox Applied?

Botox is applied by injection method under local anesthesia. After the skin is cleaned, local anesthesia is applied to the area. After 15 minutes, botox is injected into the muscles in certain areas of the skin according to the scope of treatment.  On average, botox application is a 30-minute procedure.

How Does Botox Work?

Botox interacts with the nerve cell half an hour after it is injected into the skin. The release of substances that stimulate the muscles in the nerve cells is blocked by botox. Thus, it slows down the effect of the nerve cell over time and stops its functioning.
